Winning Gold Medal for Eighth Time--ZJU Students Bringing Good News from 2020 International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition (iGEM)

ZJU-China, the team from Zhejiang University, won the gold medal in iGEM on November 23, 2020. This is also the eighth time since ZJU team won the gold medal in 2010.


The iGEM is an annual international extra-curricular academic and innovative sci-tech competition for college and university students in the field of synthetic biology. Launched by MIT in 2005 to advance synthetic biology and facilitate learning, exchange and cooperation among college and university students from different countries in this field, the iGEM has attracted young minds from Harvard, Princeton, UC Berkeley, Cambridge and other world-renowned universities, and has become one of the most influential world-class academic competitions for university students.
