60 Courses of Zhejiang University Recognized as the First Batch of National First-class Undergraduate Courses

    In November 2020, the Ministry of Education recognized the first batch of 5,118 national first-class undergraduate courses.

    Sixty courses of Zhejiang University were recognized so far, and there were 42 newly recognized courses in 2019, including 8 online, 23 offline, 6 online and offline hybrid and 5 virtual simulation experimental teaching courses. At present, the University ranks No.1 among C9 universities in its offline first-class courses and virtual simulation experimental teaching first-class courses.

    The University is building a first-class curriculum system at national, provincial and university levels and promoting the first-class undergraduate curricula development in an active way. In 2020, the University launched the construction and recognition of first-class undergraduate courses at university level (i.e. the “Thousand Courses” program), and the first batch of 300 first-class courses were recognized on merit. The University is planning to cement advanced, innovative and challenging “golden courses” to meet the requirements of the new era, so as to lay a solid foundation for higher quality education and teaching and better cultivation of students.
