In the afternoon of October 12th, a major exposition was held in the Cultural Square, Zijingang Campus, Zhejiang University. This exposition was a part of Zhejiang University Major Festival for 2018 freshmen. What’s more, there were other kinds of activities such as major info sessions, lab-opening day and online visiting majors. This festival was held by Qiushi College of Zhejiang University and all departments took part in it in order to get more than 6000 freshmen knowing about their choices of majors.
On that day, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhejiang University Zheng Qiang sent a video to celebrate. Leaders and professors of Qiushi College of Zhejiang University, Undergraduate School of Zhejiang University and all departments began the ceremony together.
The president of Qiushi College of Zhejiang University Qiu Limin stated that this kind of festival was the first trial in domestic sphere. Creating this festival was to help freshmen know about the college deeply and widely. This festival was an experiment to lead them to open their horizons and set their goals during the phase of choosing majors and an innovative measure to promote liberal education reform and ensure high-quality education.
