The 22nd RoboCup International Competition and Symposium took place in Montreal, Canada on June 16th-22nd 2018. ZJUNlict team won the championship in the Mini Robot Football Game, defending a championship for its third year.

Taught by Dr. Yao Chaoqun from Ross University, the two-week’s English course "Animal Parasites and Human Health" was successfully held in School of Animal Science.After a brief introduction of College of Veterinary Medicine in Ross University and himself, Dr. Yao delivered his course by providing videos, pictures and clinical analyzation to students to help them build up a basic idea of how to protect the public health for human beings.During a weekend in the course, Dr. Yao, together with Professor Du Aifang and research tutor Yang Yi, organized a field visit to MIEMIEYANG Farming Co., Ltd., which is a national nature reserve of lambs.Students have acquired a deep understanding of the relation between human health and parasites from animals after attending the course, which has strengthened their theoretical knowledge of public health as well as international veterinary medicine.

 

Party Secretary ZOU Xiaodong, Vice Party Secretary Zheng Qiang, Vice President Luo Jianhong visited undergraduate school to contact investigation and survey on April 19th 2018.Professor Zhang Guangxin, Dean of Undergraduate School, gave a report on ‘First-Class Undergraduate Education’ with detailed plan of thoughts and practice. Mr. Wu Xiaocheng, Minister of Student Affairs, introduced how to build up ideological and political education with the feature of ZJU.ZOU Xiaodong approved the work of undergraduate school in recent period and he raised three suggestions on better construct the undergraduate education: first of all, fully understand the spirit of 19th CPC National Congress and build up the consciousness of being first-class to promote the undergraduate education; secondly, take the opportunity of institutional quality audit to summarize the result of education and teaching reform; last but not least, taking the education and teaching reform as a driving force to implement the first-class standard and carry forward the construction of undergraduate education.Zheng Qiang pointed out that undergraduate school should work together with research association of higher education to realize the aim of talents cultivation in new era.Luo Jianhong suggested that undergraduate school focus on the strategy of admission. And also need to set up standard judgement system on cultivation to promote the reform of courses in order to raise the teaching quality.Director of Party Committee and President Office Ye Guifang, Director of News Office Ying Biao, Director of Development and Planning Office Zhou Tianhua, Director of Policy Research Office Li Mingxia, Director of Human Resource Office Liu Jirong accompanied the investigation and survey. Leadership of undergraduate school and Executive Dean of Chu Kochen Honors College attended the meeting.
