讲座内容概述：

Take a deep breath. Robots are NOT going to replace all human accounting professionals. We survived spreadsheets, and we will survive the technology advancements in artificial intelligence. Accounting today is no longer what it was in the past. In this talk the speaker will share his view on the growing importance and the changing roles of the accounting profession and how the profession should evolve to meet the demands of future economy. The talk will also include information on the most established Master of Professional Accounting program and a to-be-launched Master program in Data and Analytics at the Singapore Management University. Students from all disciplines are welcome!

演讲人简介：

Dr Wang Jiwei has over 15 years' academia and industry experience incorporate reporting, financial analysis and equity valuation. Dr Wang has been doing applied research on international accounting standards, corporate governance, earnings management, and related-party transactions. He publishes research papers in international journals such as China Economic Review, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Business Ethics. He served on the editorial boards to International Journal of Accounting, International Journal of Business, and Singapore Accountant. He is currently on the Judging Panel of the Singapore's Best Annual Report Corporate Award. His research has been profiled in the Financial Times and the Straits Times.
