ELTE Summer Schoolof Hungarian Language

Brief introduction of the institution hosting the project

EötvösLoránd University   (ELTE) is the oldest and best comprehensive university in Hungary. It was founded in 1635 with a history of 385 years and has trained 5 Nobel Prize winners. Institute of Hungarian Literature and Cultural Studies of ELTE is undoubtedly the oldest and most authoritative Hungarian language teaching institute in Hungary. Every summer, Hungarian language learners from all over the world  gather at theELTE to learn Hungarian language and experience Hungarian culture.

Main content of the project

It is a five-week program offering an intensive Hungarian Language Course with 2 subjects:Hungarian comprehensive course and Hungarian-Chinese translation course.

Hungarian   comprehensive course:

(1) Basiclevelgroup：for starter learners. The teaching content is mainly pronunciation,  basic vocabulary ofeveryday communication.

(2) Primary level group:  for learners at A1/A2 level. By learning basic Hungarian grammar and common words, students can improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, and can communicate in Hungarian more effectively to meet the   language needs of daily life.

(3) Mid-level group: for learners at B1/B2 level. Improve students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and expanding their vocabulary and be able to use Hungarian more accurately and skillfully to complete general communication activities in life, study, and work.

(4）High-level group: for learners at B2/C1 level. To further expand the   vocabulary, using grammar more accurate and proficient, and be able to communicate   and discuss on a wide range of social topics.

Hungarian-Chinese   translation course:

Focus on the comparison of Hungarian-Chinese languages, improving Hungarian-Chinese translation skills; translation training of sentence relations and time expression;  translation training of complex sentence structures and phrases

June 29^th to July 31^st2020 （共计125课时）

Enrollment Target/Admission object

Through an intensive  training course, the learners’ Hungarian language level can improve one or two levels. For details, please refer to the above course introduction.

The online teaching platformsareClassIn, Canvas, Zoom, etc.

Assessment and credits

The final grade of the course is composed of three parts: the final exam grade, usual grade and   attendance; the usual grade accounts for 50%-60% of the final score.

Students will be offered short-term abroad study certificate and official transcript of ELTE

Fees

4500 RMB/125lessons

(4000 RMB/125lessons with  early bird application before June 15^th)
